When Kansas Senate Democrats voted to repeal the Brownback tax experiment, they knew it would be a long road to recovery. They want to keep working to move Kansas along the right track to create good-paying jobs and encourage the development of STEM industries in our state as well as strengthen our existing industries, including agriculture, aviation, bio-science, manufacturing, oil & gas, and clean energy. Only then can our state build a strong economy that every Kansas family may benefit from.
The 2020 Legislative Session took the first step in boosting the economy and creating good-paying jobs when it passed the new bipartisan 10-year transportation plan. Kansas Senate Democrats were proud to support the comprehensive transportation plan that will make necessary improvements to highways, roads, and bridges as well as invest in modernization projects.
