About Silas

Silas is the proud product of Wichita Public Schools and a United States Marine Corps Veteran. After bravely serving our country in the USMC, Silas returned to Wichita to pursue a barbering education career. Silas and his wife, Bailey, live in the East Front neighborhood in Wichita.

Silas is a fervent advocate for public education, legalizing marijuana, and ensuring Kansas families can afford to put food on the table and a roof over their heads. Silas has introduced legislation that would ensure religious freedom in public schools, provide a sales tax exemption for hygiene products, and restore local control over wages and benefits for local construction contracts. Prior to serving in the Kansas Senate, Silas served in the Kansas House of Representatives representing the 86th District.
